1. That the club be called the Phoenix Artistic Roller Skating Club.
2. That the object of the club be the promotion and cultivation of artistic roller skating.

3. That the club shall be affiliated to the Federation of Artistic Roller Skating, whose laws shall be preserved in every detail.

4. That membership of the club shall comprise of “full (or senior) members,” who shall not be less than 14 years of age and junior members who shall not be less than 5 years of age.

5. That yearly subscription be agreed annually at the Annual General Meeting, to become due after the meeting, with a period of 2 months grace for payment, after which time the person not paying his/her subscription (after a reminder from the committee) would cease to be a member.

6. Membership shall be by agreement with the Coaching staff for consideration, who may exercise the right of refusal.

7. That no member shall be allowed to compete in any club competition unless he/she has paid his/her annual subscription.

8. That a member wishing to resign must do so in writing before the Annual General Meeting or he/she will be held liable for the ensuing year’s subscription.

9. Any member acting in a manner derogatory to the club shall have his/her conduct dealt with by the committee, which shall afford the member an opportunity of being heard. The committee shall have the power to expel the member by a majority of two-thirds of those present and voting. The quorum for any such meeting shall be not less than five. Any such member shall however have the right to appeal to a Special General Meeting of the club to be called for that purpose.

10. That the committee of the club shall consist of President, Vice-President. Hon. Secretary, Hon. Treasurer and five members of committee, (being fully paid up senior members of the club).

To comply with the rules of affiliation to Federation of Artistic Roller Skating, at least one member must be a member of the FARS

11. The Quorum for Committee meetings shall be two Committee members and three Officials with at least one member holding a Federation of Artistic Roller Skating membership.

12. In the event of a committee vacancy, the committee shall have the power to fill the vacancy with a fully paid-up senior club member. Such members will have the same powers as though formally voted on at the AGM.

13. The committee shall have the power to co-opt up to one third of their number. Such co-opted members may take full part in all discussions, but may not vote.

14. That the committee shall be empowered to organise skating competitions.

15. That discretionary power be given to the committee to deal with any matter not provided for in these rules.

16. That proper account books be kept by the Hon. Treasurer, who shall arrange for these to be audited annually by persons appointed at the AGM.

17. That the Annual General Meeting be held in September each year, at which officers and committee members for the ensuing year shall be appointed

18. That seven clear days notice shall be given by the Secretary of any meeting.

19. That a Special General Meeting can be called on a requisition signed by at least five members.

20. At any General Meeting of the club, the junior members may attend and speak, but only the senior members of 14 years of age and over will be able to vote on any question raised. One parent or guardian of a junior skater under 14 years of age will be afforded a vote.

21. Dissolution of the club can only be achieved by resolution duly passed at an Annual General Meeting or at a Special General Meeting convened for that purpose by a majority of two thirds of voting members present.

In the event of dissolution:-
a) all trophies will be returned to the donors.
b) The assets of the club shall be divided equally between all those persons who are fully paid up members of the club at the date of the meeting (after payment of all debts plus expenses).

22. That none of the foregoing rules be altered except at the Annual General Meeting convened for that purpose, of which seven clear days notice must be given.

23. The club has adopted and will follow the Child Protection Policy as set out by the Federation of Artistic Roller Skating.

24. Membership fees will be on a quarterly pro rata basis.
